History

CORE Credit Union was founded in 1974 on the credit union principle of people helping people. At that time, it was run by its one employee, Martha Moses, out of a room at Sallie Zetterower Elementary School offering only savings accounts.

Today, 6 buildings and over 30 years later, CORE is still going strong. With 19 employees, CORE serves more than 40 employee groups in Bulloch, Effingham, Bryan, Emanuel, Evans, Jenkins, Screven, and Candler counties.
